| Method | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Cost-plus | Add a margin to your cost | Simple products |
| Value-based | Price what it is worth to the customer | Services |
| Tiered | Offer three options | Subscriptions |
Start with cost-plus, then test a 10 percent increase on your best seller.
A worked example: a product costs 220 rupees to make. Cost-plus at 100 percent would price it at 440. If similar items sell for 600, you can test 550 and see what happens.
Do not change everything at once. Pick one product and note the results for a month.
This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
